A transformational moment

On November 2, 2021, Cleveland voters elected a Mayor and City Council members who will bring new leadership and ideas to City Hall.

What needs to change? At a time of interrelated crises — including economic inequality, racism, and climate chaos — what can a city do? What can a just and sustainable future be like?

This website aims to collect the best thinking about the ways a city government like Cleveland’s can improve the lives of its residents. The goal is to create a thoughtful summary of progressive policy options and inform debates about the city’s future.
